The Boston Bruins had plenty of success in 2023/24, but now a report has revealed they did so with a captain battling through some brutal injuries. Last season, the Boston Bruins achieved more than many during the pre-season expected, and after two big off-season additions in the summer of 2024, they are primed and ready to go much deeper in the Stanley Cup Playoffs next year. One more thing they hope to have is a healthy Brad Marchand, as it has been revealed that the captain valiantly battled through some brutal injuries last season that ultimately required not one, not two but three surgeries this off-season.

At 36-years of age, Marchand reportedly dealt with injuries to his groin, abdominal and elbow, with all three injuries requiring surgery, with the captain still helping his team to the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals. In all 82 games, Marchand tallied 29 goals and 67 points, and while he takes plenty of hate from opposing fans around the league, this toughness shows why he remains one of the league's most respected players. It's unclear whether he'll be 100% when the season begins, but right now, reporter Ty Anderson reveals that he's on track to be on the ice for the season opener, and if he can remain healthy all season long, this team is expected to once more be a genuine threat in the loaded Eastern Conference.
