Winnipeg Jets Star Defenseman Josh Morrissey Ruled Out Of The 4 Nations Finals At The Last Moment

Tonight according to a new report from Elliotte Friedman Winnipeg Jets defenseman Josh Morrissey has been ruled out of tonight's game.

With just under an hour before the puck drop between the USA and Canada in the 4 Nations Face-Off Finals major news has broken.

Unfortunately for fans of Canada and the Winnipeg Jets superstar defenseman Josh Morrissey will not be in the lineup due to an ongoing illness and will be replaced by Thomas Harley according to Chris Johnston.

The frustration continues particularly for Jets fans as Kyle Connor will also be out for Team USA but that will be due to coach's decision so he will be good to go when the Jets return to regular season action.

This is a devastating blow for Team Canada as Morrissey has been one of their best defensemen throughout this tournament and provided a big boost offensively, particularly in the absence of Cale Makar.

Throughout this season Morrissey has been one of the best offensive defensemen in the NHL for the Winnipeg Jets and looked to be a major difference maker for Canada in one of the biggest hockey games of the last decade.

Now Team Canada will have to step up and find a good way to handle the loss of Morrissey and continue to push toward a big win against the United States to take home the 4 Nations Face-Off championship.
