With the regular season just days away, the Boston Bruins still don't have their starting goaltender, and now fans are starting to show their frustration.

The Boston Bruins have Stanley Cup goals once more in 2024/25, but with the team not yet having starting goaltender Jeremy Swayman under contract, the reality of those chances continue to dwindle. The regular season is almost upon us for the Bruins, and all we've seen in recent times is the public rivalry continuing to build as the team look to get Swayman signed, and it's certainly not a good look for either party at this point.

This isn't the ideal situation for the Bruins at this point, and with Joonas Korpisalo now penciled in as their opening night starter, fans are getting worried too. That showed during their latest pre-season game in Quebec City, with one fan turning up directly behind the net holding a sign with a very pointed message for Swayman.

This isn't the way that either party wanted or expected this off-season to go, but with both sides wanting to stay together, there's no doubting that they still want to get this done. The latest update on the situation was that Swayman wanted $8.5 million AAV, and while the Bruins were willing to come up to $7.8, neither party is budging from there as they remain locked in a battle with the regular season less than a week away.

Regardless of what's happened in the past, everyone is now frustrated, and they all realise that to win a Stanley Cup, you will need Jeremy Swayman in net, so with even the fans showing frustration, we will see if anything changes by the time the regular season begins.
