This afternoon Chicago Blackhawks star took a dangerous hit to the head from Calgary Flames forward Martin Pospisil that could lead to a suspension. Today the Chicago Blackhawks traveled to Calgary for an afternoon matchup with the Flames. Early in the game Blackhawks superstar Connor Bedard was skating up the ice on a breakout with the puck. As he skated up the wing Calgary Flames forward Martin Pospisil came thundering in and delivered an elbow to the jaw of Bedard.

Despite the clear dirty and violent nature of the hit from Pospisil there was no penalty called on him and play continued. Later in the game, Pospisil found himself under fire again for another dangerous hit this time on Blackhawks rookie Frank Nazar.
Martin Pospisil under fire for multiple dirty hits on Blackhawks young stars
Once again heading into the corner Pospisil found himself chasing down a Blackhawks star. After elbowing Bedard in the head Pospisil led with his elbow again showing a repeated lack of control on his hits nailing Nazar in the head as well and drawing the attention of several Blackhawks players.

It seems that Blackhawks veteran Nick Foligno tried to challenge Pospisil to a fight to make him answer for his dangerous plays but the Flames forward just declined and skated away.

Pospisil would go on to face major backlash from fans who now believe he should be suspended by the NHL's Department of Player Safety for his repeated dangerous actions. While Pospisil was not penalized for these hits it is likely that the NHL's Department of Player Safety review both incidents and hand out either a hefty fine or a suspension.
