Edmonton Oilers superstars Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl revealed their long-term plans in the NHL amid their first appearance in the Stanley Cup Finals.

It took McDavid nine seasons, and Draisaitl 10 seasons before they reached the Finals.
As they get ready to enter the second half of their professional hockey careers, a lot of doubts emerged about the future of their association with the Edmonton Oilers.
However, a massive development from Frank Seravalli leads fans to believe they could both spend the rest of their careers in Edmonton:
"Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid have reportedly made it clear to the Edmonton Oilers management/owners that they have no intentions of leaving or testing free agency, and want to re-sign long-term in Edmonton. Per Frank Seravalli."

Bob Stauffer added that Draisaitl, who'll be a free agent after the 2024-25 season, already started to discuss a contract extension with the organization that drafted him in 2014:
"According to Bob Stauffer, the Oilers and Draisaitl have already begun extension discussions, and Draisaitl wants to be locked up long-term, not like the Auston Matthews deal in Toronto."

Right now, both players must focus on beating the Panthers tonight as they face elimination in Edmonton.
