Tonight Connor McDavid has made history with an assist tallied against the Nashville Predators he has eclipsed the 1,000-point mark in his career.

This season Connor McDavid has battled through struggles early in the season and an injury that cost him several games.

Through all of the adversity, Connor McDavid has reached an incredible milestone tallying 1,000 points in his illustrious career.

The goal that led to his 1,000th point rightfully comes from his fellow superstar Leon Draisaitl on a two-on-one.

With this milestone attained Connor McDavid becomes the 4th youngest and 4th fastest in games played to reach 1,000 points in his NHL career.

Before he was even drafted Connor McDavid was expected to be a generational talent and to change the way the game of hockey is played.

Ever since he was selected by the Edmonton Oilers out of the Erie Otters of the OHL Connor McDavid has lived up to those expectations.

With the 1,000-point mark obtained Connor McDavid can return to focusing on getting the Edmonton Oilers back in the Stanley Cup Playoffs and trying to return to the Stanley Cup Finals.

Of course, in the playoffs, Connor McDavid will likely eventually be chasing history as well. Last season he stood out for winning the Conn Smythe Trophy despite the Oilers losing the Stanley Cup Finals.

The Edmonton Oilers currently lead the Nashville Predators 2-1 as the Connor McDavid goal was eventually followed up by a goal from Darnell Nurse.

As the night goes on it will be fun to see if Connor McDavid can continue to build on his already historic night.
