Mark Spector is back at it asking some of hockey's best players the dumbest questions. Spector asked the Edmonton Oilers generational superstar the most boneheaded question a media person could ever ask. Call a spade, a spade, Connor.

In the post-game interview, McDavid takes a question from Spector, who chooses not to ask the Oilers star anything about the game, but rather mocked the Oilers captain for their opening night regular season loss to the Vancouver Canucks. Can someone tell Mark Spector that just because the Oilers are playing the Canucks in round two of the playoffs, a game back in October doesn't have very much effect on this series? Spector asks McDavid, or attempts to make the captain relive a loss from game one of the season. You know McDavid wants to channel no energy toward Mark Spector as Spector has a history of being put in his place by Oilers players. Think back to when Klim Kostin answered Spector with a comment on what fans think of Spector's questions on Twitter.

While Spector didn't stoop to Jim Matheson's level of confrontation or questions, one has to wonder if it's coming with how he's trending interview-wise.

Let's all take note of Mark Spector here, don't try to rub unnecessary salt into the wound. Game one of the regular season means nothing when it comes to game one of round two in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
