The ex-NHLer Kevin Bieksa went on a rant about the Edmonton Media for their treatment of Darnell Nurse during his post-game comments live on Sportsnet. Following a great comeback win for the Oilers in front of their fans to tie the series against the Dallas Stars at 2, the analyst Kevin Bieksa and the Sportsnet panel were discussing the game when Bieksa made a harsh comment towards the Edmonton Media. Bieksa was talking about Darnell Nurse's situation and his struggles in the playoffs, when he condemned how the media treated him recently, calling them the Edmonton Meat, because they're raw, dead and dumb. Read his full comment here: Darnell Nurse, you think about his day, his morning. He gets to the rink, and he has to meet with the Edmonton Meat, that's what I call the media because they're raw, dead and dumb.

A few hours e before the puck dropped on game 4, Edmonton reporters were on Nurse's case. When a player feels down about his performances, it would be easy to just let him alone, but they persist in asking him embarassing questions about his struggles. His interview wasn't great. He answered with only a few words and walked away before the reporters asked all their questions. Earning $9.25M isn't an excuse to tolerate being put in such a position. Reporters made Nurse look bad with that whole story, but, according to Bieksa, they are the one who look bad.
