The Oilers played their final Young Stars Classic game, and Nate Corbet fought for the third time in three games, really impressing the scouts in attendance.

Nate Corbet was looking to throw down early again. Midway through the first, he grabbed Jets prospect Mark Liwiski behind the play to get things going.

Liwiski was able to get a good shot in, but Corbet came out on top with some good shots and quick uppercuts. The fight didn't last too long as they did get tied up and hit the ice before the refs stepped in to break it up.

This marks Corbet's third fight in the Young Stars Classic, each of which has pitted him against older, more seasoned competition. Liwiski, 23, has already started playing in the AHL. Still, Corbet at just 18 held his own. He also had a big scrap with Vancouver Canucks' Joe Arntsen where both landed some serious punches.

Corbet's an 18-year-old defenceman who played for the WHL's Medicine Hat Tigers last season. He's just a camp invite, but he's making some noise. Despite scoring only five points in 51 games, he had 72 penalty minutes. The kid's all about physicality and team play. He's trying to get the scouts' attention and perhaps earn himself a draft spot next year.

Oilers insider Bob Stauffer says scouts have taken notice. If Edmonton's interested in drafting him, they might have to act fast. Right now, he's seen as more of a big, enforcer-type defenceman, but if a team thinks they can develop his skills, Nate Corbet could be worth the gamble. He's definitely made an impact at this year's rookie camp.
