The Edmonton Oilers got some disturbing news in the middle of their Stanley Cup Playoff run according to sources the CEO of the ownership group Jurgen Schreiber is under Federal investigation.

Today a new report has been released that has confirmed that Edmonton Oilers CEO Jurgen Schreiber is being investigated by the Canadian Revenue Agency. The investigation stems from financial records from a period where Jurgen Schreiber claimed to be a citizen living in the Bahamas from 2016 to 2019.

Now not only are there claims that Jurgen Schreiber was avoiding paying taxes through different transactions. He also appears to not have been a legal resident in the Bahamas during his time their either.

According to documents, The CRA launched its audit into Schreiber in 2022 to see if he had reported all of his domestic and offshore transactions for the years he claimed to be living in the Bahamas. However, according to the ruling, the CRA has also claimed «that there is no admissible evidence showing that [Schreiber] was legally a resident of the Bahamas.

These claims from the CRA could build up a whole world of trouble for the Edmonton Oilers and their CEO. As the investigation continues there are likely to be more updates on all of the details. Once those details are made public we will pass them along to you.
