Stuart Skinner has established himself as a number one goaltender for the Edmonton Oilers given his successful performances in the regular season, however his playoff performances have been his achilles heel, struggling to get the Oilers out of their loophole. Last game was a night to forget for the Oilers goaltender after conceding 5 goals on 26 shots in the Oilers 5-4 loss to the LA Kings in game two. When asked about his game last night, Skinner said that he thought he was okay, and feels good about his game right now, dismissing all the negativity. »It was okay. I didn't really do too much, I don't think I was a big factor in the game tonight. And that's okay, I'm gonna get better from that and move on. The takeaway for tonight is wash it out. I know who I am. I know my game, and I'm going to get back to work.» -Stuart Skinner

Skinner has no doubtly struggled in the playoffs over the last three years, however this year it seems he is taking a different approach. Instead of losing his mind after one bad game he is maintaining his positivity and has the perseverance to continue leading the Oilers. Being an NHL goaltender is all a mental game, and Oil County can't afford a Jack Campbell 2.0. Edmonton Oilers fans seem to have confidence in a bounceback for their starting goaltender.

As read on- Oilers Daily Stuart Skinner has gutsy response to recent play
