Connor McDavid is one of the NHL's most passionate captains, and in the recent trailer for the NHL documentary, his intensity has shown through. The NHL has been branching out in the media world plenty in the last few years, and after it had been announced quite some time ago, a teaser trailer was shown for the NHL's newest documentary on Amazon Prime Video titled Faceoff: Inside the NHL, releasing October 4th.

During the trailer, one moment in particular stood out, and it was the raw emotion of Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid, as the documentary shared a teaser of No. 97 screaming in the locker room after Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals. They would drop that game in Florida to go 0-2 on the series, with McDavid urging his team to dig in, and after losing the first game in Edmonton to fall to 0-3, they would do just that, winning three straight to force a dramatic Game 7.

While he's no stranger to emotions on the ice, not many people have seen this side of McDavid, but being able to motivate your teammates like this is part of being a great leader, so it's certainly intriguing to see the usually mild-mannered McDavid in this scenario. Unfortunately for fans in Edmonton, they weren't able to celebrate a Stanley Cup, as the team would fall in Game 7 to the Florida Panthers, but seeing this type of passion from their captain certainly has to have them fired up for the future, especially in 2024/25. As for the documentary, it's will be released on Prime Video on October 4th, and should provide fans an excellent, unique insight into the behind the scenes workings of the NHL and their top players, and if this small clip is anything to go on, it should be must-watch for hockey fans.
