An automatic suspension is possibly incoming for Minnesota Wild's forward Ryan Hartman for an incident that occured last night. During a game against the Vegas Golden Knights, Hartman lost his temper and threw his stick at an official.
Ryan Hartman might get suspended by the NHL for throwing his stick at a referee after he didn't call a penalty on a blatant high stick from Noah Hanifin.
In the last moments of the game, with the Wild trying to catch up from a 2-1 deficit, Hartman received a high stick from defenseman Noah Hanifin, but no penalty was called on the play. The NHL reviews all incidents when such penalties are given. He could be summoned for a hearing soon, acording to Michael Russo. Not sure to what extent (fine or worse), but sounds like #mnwild's Ryan Hartman will be hearing from the NHL for his misconduct at game's end. I didn't see it, but apparently he chucked his stick in the refs' direction. He was incensed bc he was high-sticked by Noah Hanifin in final minute of regulation. Not sure how it was missed.

The NHL's rulebook also states that a three-game suspension is given when a referee is threatened: Any player who, by his actions, physically demeans an official or physically threatens an official by (but not limited to) throwing a stick or any other piece of equipment or object at or in the general direction of an official, shooting the puck at or in the general direction of an official, spitting at or in the general direction of an official, or who deliberately applies physical force to an official solely for the purpose of getting free of such an official during or immediately following an altercation shall be suspended for not less than three (3) games. Do you think Hartman should be suspended?
