Huge brawl between the Leafs and Sabres gets 10 players ejected

The Toronto Maple Leafs and Buffalo Sabres got into it in the final minute of the game last night, and the brawl saw 10 players ejected from the game.

The Toronto Maple Leafs and the Buffalo Sabres had a historic game last night, one that the Sabres probably are eager to forget and Leaf fans are pining to remember. The game saw Auston Matthews score his 60th goal, the second time in his career he has reached that feat. Ilya Samsonov also got his redemption, posting a shutout in a stellar performance.

The cherry on top of the game happened in the final minutes of the game, when a line brawl broke out after Mark Giordano took measures into his own hands in response to a questionable hit. The brawl saw all 10 players ejected, including Auston Matthews.

While there weren't really any two players that got fully squared off with one another, the showing was great for the Leafs, who had a lot of their top-line guys out at the end of the game in Auston Matthews, Tyler Bertuzzi, and Bobby McMann, and were able to stand up for one another and not be pushed around. This is the result of what the new-look Leafs can do. They even still have firepower waiting to return, as Marner is still injured.

With just 9 games remaining until playoffs, it looks like the Leafs are in the right mindset this season, and we will see if it translates to success.
