After a disappointing end to his run in Toronto, it appears that Sheldon Keefe hasn't waited long at all to get back behind the bench of an NHL team. Sheldon Keefe may have taken plenty of criticism during his time with the Toronto Maple Leafs, but it's clear through the teams regular season success that he is definitely capable of coaching at the NHL level. Now, it appears the New Jersey Devils see that, as it is now being reported that he has agreed on a deal to become the Devils next Head Coach. Was told there is a verbal agreement in place with Sheldon Keefe again it comes down to it he wants the job. But again nothing official is official but have to expect the announcement next day or two. #njdevils @FullPressNHL @myNHLTradeRumor

From all accounts, Keefe and the Devils appear to be on the same page as they look to bounce back from one of their most disappointing campaigns in recent memory, as they failed to make the Stanley Cup Playoffs despite entering the season as a favourite in the East. Sounds like there's a good chance Sheldon Keefe has already found a new home in New Jersey. Would be an awesome fit 👀

From all accounts, this is a done deal, and is expected to be announced in the next few days barring a major change, and with a very young and talented roster, the Devils and Keefe could be a force to be reckoned with in 2024-25.
