The NBA accidentally leaked the date of the New York Rangers' first playoff game in the Madison Square Garden. WIth the NHL and the NBA holding their playoffs in the same time, it often leads to schedule conflicts. This year, the conflict might come from a recent announcement by the NBA. By saying that the Knicks would play their first playoff game on Saturday April 20th at the Madison Square Garden, they basically stated that the Rangers wouldn't play on the 20th. From our very own Marvin Azrak: Looks like the NBA just told us #NYR game 1 Is Sunday by announcing the #newyorkforever ' game 1 date. It's unlikely there's a playoff doubleheader at MSG. This round goes to the @NBA for beating the @NHL to the playoff punch at the world's most famous arena.

In the United States, the NBA is followed by more people than the NHL. It's only normal to see major arenas prioritizing the NBA for Saturday night, the most sought-after TV spot. More to come.
