Claude Giroux and his wife Ryanne woke up to find one of their cars missing, as thieves stole a vehicle from their driveway while they slept overnight. Claude Giroux has been having the time of his life since he joined the Ottawa Senators. He has recorded at least 64 points in his first two seasons with the club and quickly established himself as a key veteran presence. With a third season in sight, Giroux has plenty to be excited about as the Senators gun for a playoff spot. Recently, though, the unthinkable happened to Giroux: his car was stolen. On social media X, Giroux's wife, Ryanne, announced that the family car had been stolen from their house and was being driven around. If that wasn't already bad enough, she could not seem to reach the Ottawa Police Department and resorted to seeking help online.

thank you for all your help! not banking on ever seeing that car again but stay tuned 😂 police have been notified @28CGiroux did initially call 911 but after initial conversation we weren't sure it was an «emergency» we did end up calling 911 again to report - Ryanne Giroux Despite this personal challenge, Giroux is gearing up for his 17th NHL season. In his career, he has played 1,182 games, accumulated 350 goals, 716 assists, and a total of 1,066 points. Prior to joining Ottawa, Giroux had spent most of his career with the Philadelphia Flyers. Giroux was a first-round pick of the Flyers in the 2006 NHL Draft, then became their captain in 2013 before being traded to the Florida Panthers in 2022. After a playoff run with the Panthers, he headed to his home province of Ontario by signing with the Senators. Hopefully, their car is found and it is returned in good condition to the Giroux family so that they can put this incident behind them and get ready for the exciting season ahead.
