The Pittsburgh Penguins' captain Sidney Crosby blatantly told a referee that he f***ed up as he returned to the bench.

The whole scene was exposed in a video that's currently going viral on social media.

Crosby and a teammate were going on a two-on-one against the goalie, after the captain had managed to win a battle for the puck, but a referee blew the whistle.

Watch Crosby's reaction in the following video:

"Imagine having Crosby pointing at you saying «You f***ed up» ☠️☠️"

Sidney Crosby, one of the most respected players in the hockey world, has a lot of influence. When he talks, people listen. When he comes at you and tells you that you f***ed up, you know that it's bad.

Even Auston Matthews had some great words to say about Crosby after the game:

"It's incredible, honestly, just night in, night out, the consistency. It's hard to put into words what he's been able to do & how he continues to elevate his game & just willing his team into a position to hopefully make the playoffs."

The Penguins ended up losing that crucial game against the Maple Leafs, 3-2 in overtime. Fortunately, they still got one point from that game, which is better than nothing in this extremely tight race for the last playoff spots in the Eastern Conference.

The team can still hope to make it, thanks to Crosby's 17 points in the last nine games. If he can keep going, they could make a surprise and clinch their playoff spot.
