This evening a new report from NHL insider Chris Johnston revealed that Toronto Maple Leafs GM Brad Treliving has placed 3 players on the trade block. The Toronto Maple Leafs were expected to make major changes to their roster this offseason after a first-round exit in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. To this point, those changes have been basically nonexistent beyond trading for and signing Chris Tanev.

The Maple Leafs fans have been hoping for change over the last several months. Today a new report has revealed that change still could be coming as the Maple Leafs are open to dealing multiple players on their current roster.
Chris Johnston reveals the Maple Leafs are open to trading several players
Trusted insider Chris Johnston was hosting his show The Chris Johnston Show today. During one segment he spoke about the Toronto Maple Leafs and confirmed the team would be open to potentially moving Calle Jarnkrok, David Kampf, and Timothy Liljegren. They would look at moving Kampf, Jarnkrok, or Timothy Liljegren in the right deal. I should be very clear, that is not to say they are trying to get rid of them at all costs, but I think that because of the Leafs' salary cap, they are pretty tight up against it, said Johnston on the latest edition of 'The CJ Show'. Really, at this point of the off-season, their blueline looks different, [they] obviously made the move in net, but I think they will have to get creative to address any changes they want to make at forward

These players are a long way away from the moves that were expected earlier in the summer involving the likes of Mitch Marner. However, players like Timothy Liljegren could still hold value on the trade market if he is dealt. The Maple Leafs could still look to acquire a goaltender and one of these three players could be the key to unlocking that deal.
