This weekend the Toronto Maple Leafs will head to St. Louis to play the Blues and head coach Craig Berube is considering a potentially controversial lineup change. The Toronto Maple Leafs are continuing to try and find consistency as the NHL season is now in full swing. Throughout the early part of the season the Toronto Maple Leafs leaned on Anthony Stolarz as their starting goaltender with Joseph Woll out due to injury. Now with Joseph Woll back Craig Berube continues to try and find a way to rotate them. With the return to St. Louis, it is not only a homecoming for Craig Berube but also for Joseph Woll who grew up in St. Louis. To this point in his NHL career Joseph Woll has not had the opportunity to play in front of his friends and family in his hometown. With that in mind head coach Craig Berube was asked if that opportunity will be coming for Joseph Woll.
Craig Berube considering a controversial lineup move
When asked about Joseph Woll playing in his return home Craig Berube refused to commit to a decision one way or another. He admitted that circumstances like a homecoming do play into the decision when picking who stars but are not the only factor.

With Craig Berube refusing to name him the starter, Joseph Woll was asked about his emotions regarding his return home. He admitted he was excited and that he would have tons of family in attendance, including his mom.

At practice, both Joseph Woll and Anthony Stolarz saw a good amount of reps. Due to this the morning skate for the Toronto Maple Leafs will likely be the ultimate clue into who will start. Beyond that, the lines look relatively similar to the last several games.

With all of the recent issues involving players and ice time, it would be wise of Craig Berube to tread lightly and keep his players like Joseph Woll happy. As reports come in regarding who will be starting we will pass along the latest updates.
