The Toronto Maple Leafs definitely need help on their blue line, and this summer they could be aggressive in targeting St. Louis Blues defenseman Colton Parayko. Despite promising roster additions, the Toronto Maple Leafs still struggled in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and while they've got plenty of holes on the roster to fill, it's the blue line that needs the most help. The Leafs have been linked to the likes of Noah Hanifin, Chris Tanev, Nikita Zadorov and others in recent times (two of whom are available as free agents), but now David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period has thrown out another intriguing name. The #LeafsForever are linked to #stlblues 6'6 defenseman Colton Parayko by David Pagnotta. Parayko led the NHL in blocked shots last year with 218 and averaged a career-high 23:51 TOI. He will be making $6.5m per year till he is 36.

Throughout his career, Parayko has averaged around 30 points per season, and with his size and shot blocking ability, leading the league with 218 a season ago, he would be the perfect addition for Toronto. Still, the team have the ammo to add more than just one piece defensively, but if they can land Parayko to pair with Morgan Rielly and another puck moving blue liner alongside that, their Stanley Cup hopes increase immensely.
