A major trade proposal sending Nazem Kadri to the Toronto Maple Leafs emerged online. With Brad Treliving possibly exploring his options to add depth at the center position, Kadri could provide exactly what the organization needs. A recent report suggested that if John Tavares ends up leaving the Maple Leafs next summer, after his current contract, Kadri could be a great replacement for him. In the following hypothetical trade proposal, the Flames would get a great package involving Nicholas Robertson and Ryan Reaves from the Leafs, who woulg get draft picks and Kadri. Check it out: Maple Leafs get: Nazem Kadri (with $3.5 million retained) 2025 fifth-round pick 2026 sixth-round pick Flames get: David Kampf Nick Robertson Ryan Reaves 2025 second-round pick. It has been believed for a while now that Kadri would be willing to waive his no-trade clause to join a better team, closer to his home. This deal makes sense for both teams. The Leafs get to offload Reaves' contract, and get Kadri at a reasonnable salary for the next five seasons. As for the Flames, they get a great pick and Robertson, a talented young player on the verge of a breakout season. Would you make that trade?
