William Nylander was shockingly absent from game one of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and now his Head Coach has given the first update on his star player. The Toronto Maple Leafs saw William Nylander play in all 82 regular season games once again in 2023-24, but ahead of game one against the Boston Bruins, he went down with a mysterious injury that saw him miss the 5-1 loss. Now, Head Coach Sheldon Keefe has given his first update on the situation. Keefe re: Nylander status: «We'll see how he feels the rest of the day here and then make a decision.»

It appears as though he's now attempting to play mind games with the Bruins, as Nylander was back on the ice for practice on Monday ahead of the game, and unless there's something seriously wrong, there's a good chance he takes the ice once again on Monday night. More details to come as the Maple Leafs look to bounce back and tie this series up at one game a piece.
