In a new episode of The Grapevine Podcast hosted by Don Cherry the legendary analyst dove into the feud between J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson and how to solve it.

The Vancouver Canucks continue to deal with the conflict between J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson with no clear end in sight.

Since the beginning of this public fight between the two stars almost every analyst, fan, and former player with a platform has given their opinion on how to fix the situation and who is at fault.

Today this list of opinions grew as former NHL head coach and analyst Don Cherry spoke about the situation on his podcast.

Don Cherry Provides His Solution To The Vancouver Canucks Locker Room Problems

During the latest edition of The Grapevine Podcast a major focus of discussion was on the Vancouver Canucks.

Cherry began by calling out Elias Pettersson claiming that he is overpaid and that teams should not be lining up to trade for him.

Nobody would want him, Cherry said of Elias Pettersson. He's the third-highest [paid player in the NHL] he had one good year.

Cherry and his son continued the conversation with his son asking Don how he would handle the situation if he were the Canucks coach.

Cherry got right to the point and revealed that he would send both players home until they figured things out for themselves.

Send them home. That's the only way you can [deal with it]. Send them home

Cherry then expands and says that back during his time with the Bruins this situation would never have gone this far.

His son Tim adds that the players back in the day would have handled things in practice with the veterans potentially taking a run at someone

I dont think the Bruins players would put up with it. Something would happen. Someone would get injured in practice.

Cherry responds by saying he'd turn a blind eye and allow the players to handle those situations.

I would just turn a blind eye and never even look at it.

It sounds as though if Cherry were in charge he would trade Pettersson away and commit to Miller going forward.

For Cherry's full comments on the situation and his perspective on how the Canucks can fix things check out the full podcast episode from this week.
