A former NHL goaltender who played for the Vancouver Canucks offered to come out of retirement after Thatcher Demko's injury.

The Canucks are set to face the Nashville Predators tonight for game three and Demko will miss it, as he is week-to-week with an undisclosed injury.

The Canucks' organization revealed that Demko, one of the main reasons of the team's succes this season, would be out week-to-week with an undisclosed injury.

The team's number two goalie Casey DeSmith will have to fill in and face the Preds. He didn't had an easy night in game 2. He made 12 saves and allowed four goals to Nashville, who managed to tie the series.

He is set to get the start in game three, and looks already more confident. Here's what he said in a press conference:

""A little bit more comfortability now with the one game out of the way. And looking forward to building on a hopefully better performance this time around for myself."

However, another option emerged on the Canucks' table: Eddie Lack offered his services.

The former goalie, who played 143 games in the NHL between 2013 and 2019 for the Hurricanes, Canucks, Flames and Devils, posted a video on social media, in which he states his availability and his willingness of coming out of retirement to help Vancouver.
