Tonight news has come in that former Vancouver Canucks enforcer Donald Brashear has been charged with a serious crime.

Over the last month the Vancouver Canucks organization has been surrounded in controversy.

Tonight that trend continues as one of the franchises most well known players Donald Brashear has been arrested on charges of a serious crime.

According to reports Brashear was arrested in Quebec due to charges relating to a recent altercation he was involved in.

Donald Brashear was arrested for an altercation with a woman. He was charged, then pleaded not guilty.

He is therefore currently being held in the Quebec detention center according to my sources.


Further reports have confirmed that Brashear while in custody is being held away from other inmates within the facility he is being held at.

He is currently said to be in protective custody and away from other inmates.


The 53-year-old once again finds himself in the news for the wrong reasons in his post playing career.

During his time in the NHL Brashear played over 1,000 games for the Vancouver Canucks, Philadelphia Flyers, Montreal Canadiens, and Washington Capitals.

In that time Brashear played 6 years and 388 total games with the Canucks and became their all-time leader in penalty minutes.

In his 16 year career Brashear totaled an astounding 2,634 penalty minutes across all of his games played.

After pleading not guilty Brashear will go through the legal process and defend his case against these serious charges of such a heinous crime.
