It's nothing new that the Oilers are looking for a goalie, and it's nothing new that Edmonton and Montreal are discussing a potential deal. Now, a swap involving two goalies, draft picks and a player has been mooted and has reportedly been under discussion between the two teams' executives. Here's the deal in question listed by NHL Trade Rumors : The Oilers would try to get rid of Jake Campbell, but especially his contract, and would be forced to give away draft picks. So, Campbell, 2nd and 3rd round picks in return for Quebec goaltender Samuel Montembeault and Joel Armia. The two teams could liquidate two problem contracts. The CH would get their hands on some interesting picks for the annual draft, and the Oilers might finally have a worthy goalie in Samuel Montembeault. An interesting avenue for both the Edmonton and Montreal franchises? To ask the question is perhaps to answer it...
