Today a new report has confirmed that former Edmonton Oilers top prospect Jesse Puljujarvi has found a new home on his journey in the NHL. Last week the Pittsburgh Penguins led by Kyle Dubas made the shocking <a href='https://www.hockeylatest.com/nhl-team/edmonton-oilers/kyle-dubas-addresses-the-reason-why-jesse-puljujarvi-contract-was-terminated' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>decision to terminate Jesse Puljujarvi's contract.</a> The decision made by the Penguins was reportedly made in conjunction with the player to allow him a new opportunity somewhere else in the NHL. Many had assumed Puljujarvi's time in North America had come to an end after the Penguins were unable to trade him away for other assets before straight up releasing him but it seems that will not be the case and Puljujarvi will get at least one more shot. <div align='center' class='pl20 pr20'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/TonyAndrock/status/1889077839569244554'> </a></blockquote></div> Puljujarvi's time in the NHL has been turbulent largely due to injuries after being selected 4th overall in the 2016 NHL Draft. In his time with the Oilers Puljujarvi was a solid third-line type player but never was able to truly crack into the superstar many saw during his draft year. After leaving Edmonton and heading to Pittsburgh, many were hoping the change of scenery would propel Puljujarvi back to the top of the lineup, but unfortunately, that was not in the cards for the Finnish forward. Now at 26 years old Puljujarvi will once again start over in a new organization looking to work his way into the NHL lineup and become a contributing player going forward.
