From both an offensive and defensive standpoint, the Canadiens' future looks very bright. However, it's the goaltending that's the problem. Let's give Samuel Montembeault a chance to prove he's got what it takes to be a number-one goalie, but if that doesn't work, Kent Hughes will have to find a solution quickly. There's a lot of talk about finding a replacement for Carey Price, but number 31 is irreplaceable. On the other hand, the GM will have to find his most trusted man between the posts for years to come. Boston's situation is quite the opposite. They have two very good goaltenders, but no centers with the retirements of Patrice Bergeron and possibly David Krejci. According to Spittin' Chiclets, Boston should offer young Jeremy Swayman for a center.

Kent Hughes would therefore have the opportunity to offer a center and a goaltender, and perhaps other assets, to get his hands on Swayman.
