With Connor Bedard at the top of the list, the 2023 NHL draft is shaping up to be the best in a long time. The Habs already have two first round picks and Kent Hughes has been working hard to add another before the trade deadline, but to no avail. However, nothing is lost on the CH general manager, who proved to us last year that he's not afraid to make a splash in the draft. Appearing on RDS's <i>Hockey 360</i> on Saturday night, Hughes had this to say about the possibility of going after another first-round pick in 2023. <q>Yes, it's always a possibility. - Kent Hughes</q> We don't know what he has in mind and it would be hard to guess. Trading Joel Edmundson or Josh Anderson would be a possibility, but if last year is any indication, it was a surprise to everyone when Alexander Romanov was sacrificed. To be continued...
