The former head coach of the Montreal Canadiens' club-school, Joel Bouchard, made a controversial statement about the team's newcomer, Denis Gurianov, despite the latter's good sequence. <q>As of today, Joël Bouchard would not submit a qualifying offer to Gurianov; he is very candidly deconstructing several of the forward's sequences. - TVA Sports</q> Wow, basically Bouchard would let Gurianov go this summer, with no contract offer. While appearing on Jean-Charles Lajoie's show on TVA Sports, the former Laval Rocket coach explains what he thinks is wrong with the Russian forward. <q>He's a big guy who's extremely easy to play against and isn't comfortable in uncomfortable areas. He has a good shot, but his hands are very average. His hockey sense [also]; there are sequences where he doesn't make simple plays. - Joel Bouchard</q> The latter even dared a very unflattering comparison to the CH's number 25: <q>If he stays like that, for me, he's not helping. He's a guy like [Alex] Galchenyuk who scores goals, but doesn't help others play with them. [...] There has to be some kind of click that rarely happens in a player... but it has happened.</q> That's a very strong opinion about a player who is only 25 years old. In addition, the latter seems to have found an interesting chair in the lineup of the Tricolore, he who accumulates five points, including four goals in only nine games. That's quite a contrast to his two goals in 43 games with the Dallas Stars. Of course, the only thing that could go wrong with him would be his salary requirements for his new deal, as he will become a restricted free agent this summer.
