Today we learned of the surprising dismissal of the Senators head coach, Troy Mann. What is especially surprising is that Belleville had just won its game during the evening and that the decision was made right after, around 11:00 pm. The lack of understanding behind this drastic change surprised most of the journalists and fans of the team, when the latter was behind the good development of several current Sens players, including Drake Batherson and Josh Norris. Mann coached Belleville for 289 games. In fact, he was even considered a potential candidate to replace DJ Smith at one point. However, TSN reporter Claire Hanna has learned a major piece of information that would justify this sudden dismissal. <q>According to sources, there were trust issues between the Senators and Troy Mann. Apparently, the straw that broke the camel's back was when Mann leaked information about the team's [Ottawa] professional recruiting to another NHL club. - Claire Hanna</q> Wow! Such a decision would have been difficult to make behind Trent's back. All indications are that he was involved in the decision making process against his own brother.
