Pysyk, 31, last played in the NHL in the 2021-22 NHL season with the Buffalo Sabres. Pysyk signed with the Detroit Red Wings for 2022-23, but later missed the entirety of the season with an Achilles tear. Pysyk was signed to an AHL PTO with the Wilke Barre-Scranton Penguins earlier this past November, but was later released. Pysyk adds depth to Calgary's AHL squad, the Calgary Wranglers, as Defensemen Ilya Solovyov and Jordan Oesterle were recalled to the Flames. Pysyk has 521 Career NHL games in10 seasons for Buffalo, Florida & Dallas. Pysyk was a first round pick of the Buffalo Sabres, 23rd overall, in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
