The Chicago Blackhawks had no choice but to resort to the NHL trade market after announcing that forwards Connor Bedard and Nick Foligno had been placed on the injured list. General Manager Kyle Davidson had to make a move. With 9 forwards on the injured list, the Hawks acquired former Montreal Canadien Rem Pitlick. In return, they gave up a conditional 7th-round pick in 2026a bargain for a player who can immediately fill an offensive position. Pitlick was having a great time with the Pittsburgh Penguins' AHL team, amassing 24 points in 32 games. The forward has had multiple stints in the NHL with the Predators, the Wild, and the Canadiens.
