In breaking news, this Calgary Flames player has just taken a leave of absence from the team to deal with his mental health struggles.

Dube Takes Leave From Calgary Flames Due To Mental Health Issues

The Calgary Flames took to social media today to share an announcement regarding forward Dillon Dube. He has been granted a leave of absence from the team in order to attend to his mental health. There have been no other details released on the matter, however, the Flames did state that Dube is in the care of health professionals.

Dillon Dube has been granted an indefinite leave of absence from the team while he attends to his mental health. Dillon is under the care of health professionals, and we request that Dillon's privacy is respected during this period.

This is truly unfortunate news for Dube, as mental health can be difficult to battle. Dube has played in 43 games this year with the Flames, recording 7 points.

We wish the best for Dube on his road to return to the Flames.
