The Edmonton Oilers ran the risk of putting their starting goalie on waivers Tuesday, and he is set to join his new team.
Campbell Clears Waivers Set to Join Bakersfield
After having a terrible start to the season the Oilers placed Jack Campbell on waivers for the purpose of reassignment to the AHL.

Through five starts this season Campbell has looked shaky to say the least. Through those five starts, Campbell has just the one win with some terrible stats. Averaging 4.50 goals against per game with a 0.873% save percentage has been a key reason for the Oilers slow start. Campbell is only on his second year of a five year $5 million deal and has yet to post an above 0.900% save percentage with the Oilers. Calvin Pickard has been recalled from the AHL to replace Campbell as he looks to find his game once more and return to the NHL this season.
