They say first impressions matter a lot because you only get one chance to make them. Apparently Michael Bunting and Brendan Lemieux are unfamiliar with this concept as they have gotten themselves into trouble during the Hurricane's training camp. Bunting famously left the Leafs in free agency this offseason, inking a three year, 13.5 million dollar contract with the Hurricanes for an average annual value of 4.5 million dollars.
Bunting Already Making Enemies On New Team
Bunting earned a reputation as being a pest with Toronto last year but that reputation mostly stayed on the ice when other teams were involved. Now he seems to have caused problems with his new teammates, something we did not hear about in Toronto if it happened at all. Hurricanes writer Cory Lavalette reported this issue on Twitter.

Bunting And Lemieux Have A History
It is particularly notable that it is these two specific players that have gotten into trouble together as they have had an altercation in the past. Last season, with Bunting playing for the Leafs and Lemieux on the Kings, this happened.

In this case the players did end up skating away peacefully but clearly the two are not going to be asking for each other's autographs anytime soon. If they can't find a way to get along, Carolina may be forced to make a move. Lemieux would likely be seen as the more expendable option since his contract is much easier to trade or bury in the AHL.
