Tom Wilson is staying in Washington for 7 more years.

Wilson's Payday

The Capitals announced this morning that they were extending Wilson for 7 more years in a huge contract worth $45.5 million.

WILLY'S HERE TO STAY‼️

The Washington Capitals have re-signed forward Tom Wilson to a seven-year, $45.5 million contract extension beginning with the 2024-25 season.

Wilson's Key Role In Washington

Wilson has been a staple for the Capitals for the past 10 seasons, playing his entire career so far with the club. He has put up 295 points in 680 career games. More notoriously, Wilson has over 1200 minutes in penalties throughout his career.

Washington will hope to get another 7 years out of the forward, a timeline which will likely take him to retirement. If that's the case, Wilson will be a career Capital.
