We're just a few weeks away from the start of training camp, and the season will follow soon enough. This is the time of year when trade speculation gives way to predictions. In the case of the Canadiens, the NHL's official website has made some very surprising predictions. As for the Caufield / Suzuki duo, it's only natural that they're the team's top scorers, and they have the talent to produce. It's young Juraj Slafkovsky who's more surprising, as the NHL is predicting a 46-point season for him. Cole Caufield: 40 goals and 69 points Nick Suzuki: 70 points Juraj Slafkovsky: 46 points Michael Matheson: 39 points 46 points would be quite an accomplishment for Slaf in his 2nd season. Let's not forget that he's only 19 years old; even Alexis Lafrenière hasn't surpassed 40 points yet. Michael Matheson scored 34 points in 48 games last year. This suggests that his production could be much higher over 82 games.

As part of our 32 in 32 series, the fantasy field hockey staff put together projections for relevant players on the Canadiens.https://t.co/YA8LnP2kkE- NHL.com (@NHLdotcom) August 16, 2023
 Credit: Marker
