David Savard was the guest of Jean-Charles Lajoie this morning on BPM Sports. The two men chatted about the offseason and the long wait between now and training camp, but they also talked about Nick Suzuki. JiC even referred to No. 14 as your maybe next captain and here's what Savard had to say: Having a captain is important. He's not necessarily going to be your best player, but he's definitely going to be your best leader. He's a people person and I think Nick would do a great job. We saw it last year, how he handled himself on and off the ice, that's how a captain should act. - David Savard

Nothing is set in stone, but Savard's comments add another string to Suzuki's bow.
