In recent weeks, there have been many rumours of Christian Dvorak being sent elsewhere. The forward has a no-trade clause starting July 1, so June 30 seemed to be the deadline for trading him. With Nick Suzuki, Kirby Dach, Sean Monahan and Jake Evans, Dvorak's future no longer lies with the center position, but there's a very good reason why Kent Hughes hasn't been able to trade him. An unexpected outcome It turns out that D-Vo will undergo knee surgery and miss several months of activity, even missing the start of the season and more. Arpon Basu suggests that Dvorak won't be ready for training camp. In fact, he could miss weeks at the start of the regular season. Looking back over the past two years, it's absolutely crazy how injuries have prevented Kent Hughes from completing trades. At the last trade deadline, Hughes was forced to retain the services of Sean Monahan and Joel Edmundson, among others. Both veterans could have brought in big money at that time. Good news for Monahan, however, who signed for an extra year, while Edmundson was traded for much less.

Yet the organization said he would be last March → https://t.co/Mes7hnHdsw- DansLesCoulisses (@DLCoulisses) July 2, 2023
