As hockey fans in Quebec, it's a long time to wait for hockey to start up again once the season is over, especially when our team isn't in the playoffs.

There's a glimmer of hope on the horizon, as the CH organization has just unveiled its preparatory schedule.

" MONTREAL - On Friday, the Canadiens released the team's preparatory schedule, which will kick off on Monday, September 25 against the New Jersey Devils at the Bell Centre.

This will be the first of six games on the schedule for head coach Martin St-Louis' troupe.

The Canadiens' four-game home stand to kick off the preseason continues with a showdown against the Ottawa Senators, followed by two games against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The three-game Montreal-Toronto mini-series then concludes at Scotiabank Arena, where the Tricolore take on the Leafs on October 2, before concluding their pre-season schedule in Ottawa against the Senators on October 7.

All games are scheduled to start at 7 p.m. ET."
