Flames GM Opens Up For the First Time on Zadorov's Trade Request

There's been a lot of speculation about Calgary Flames defenseman Nikita Zadorov ever since he expressed his desire to leave the team a few weeks back.

Craig Conroy's first comments on Nikita Zadorov's trade request:

"We've had conversations. We have a good relationship, we really do. We get along well. I'm going to keep that between him and me, but we talk. He's been a pro about everything and he's played well."

Is there any rush to trade him?

"It's just like any other person, we're just going to do what's best for the Calgary Flames, and on our timeline."

Conroy's statements underscore a mutual respect between him and Zadorov, indicating that Zadorov may eventually have his wish fulfilled.

However, this could be delayed until later in the season, especially if the Flames' playoff prospects remain uncertain. But something's certain: their chances are better with Zadorov in the lineup.
