Flames Roster Shake-up Around the Corner?

Calgary fans, hold onto your hats because we might see some big moves coming up. The rumour mill is churning and there are whispers that some players might be looking for a change of scenery and a way out of Calgary.

Calgary Flames' forward, Elias Lindholm, is one player whose name has been mentioned in trade talks. He had a bit of a slump in point production this past season, dropping nearly 20 points from the previous year.

When asked about his future with the team, Lindholm's response raises some concerns:

"I've got one more year and that's all I can say,"

Another Flames' forward, Mikael Backlund, had a tough season emotionally and mentally. He also didn't make any promises about his future with the team which raises additional concern:

Definitely the hardest season I've played emotionally and mentally. We never met the expectations.

It seems like there isn't much light surrounding the Calgary Flames' fanbase right now. Calgary is going into what may seem another terrible off-season seeing them ship some of their most important players. It might be a disastrous repeat of last year, which saw the likes of Johnny Gaudreau and Matthew Tkachuk go.
