The Devils-Flyers game was intense. Two incidents occured: the first one being the violent slash we talked about earlier today.

But much earlier in the game, the rookie Luke Hughes was on the receiving end of a dirty hit by Garnet Hathaway.

Hathaway Destroys Hughes in Major Hit

The hit happened right after the referee ended the play. Hathaway had no control on his speed, and he caught Hughes off guard.

He received a five-minute major and a game misconduct for boarding.
