One of the top prospects of the 2023 NHL Draft, Michkov fell to Philly with the 7th pick, surprising some in the Hockey world who thought Michkov had a chance to be taken in the top-five, at least deservedly so. With HC Sochi this season, on loan from fellow KHL club SKA St. Petersburg, Michkov has 11 Goals and 26 Points in 29 Points for Sochi, being one of their top contributors for the team. Michkov also had a single game for SKA before being loaned. SKA owns Michkov's rights until 2026. As one of the top players outside the NHL, Michkov will hopefully be back on the ice soon, and continue at the elite level he's been able to play in the past.
