Mike Babcock is causing a lot of debate because of his old-fashioned coaching methods, which don't seem to work well with today's players.

There are rumors that Babcock might be hired by the Blue Jackets, and a retired NHL player didn't hold back his thoughts on the controversial coach.

Comrie Calls out Babcock

During an episode of the Clear the Crease Podcast, Mike Comrie expressed his opinion without holding back.

"Morning, folks. I was going to leave this alone because frankly, I'm sick and tired of seeing Mike Babcock's name in all my feeds, but here we are. Mike Babcock, head coach, back in the NHL. Babs the bully gets another chance. Am I disappointed? Yes, I am disappointed. Am I surprised? No, I'm not. His whole retirement thing was a load of horseshit right off the bat."

"I'm sure he walked into the Columbus office and told the brass whatever they wanted to hear. 'Oh, I've changed,' blah blah blah, which is another load of horseshit. Babs the bully ain't changing. Scumbags like that don't change. With all due respect to my buddies within the Blue Jackets organization, I hope this Babcock experiment is a complete disaster on every single level."

Comrie clearly has a problem with Babcock and didn't hesitate to share his thoughts with the public.

The Blue Jackets recently parted ways with John Tortorella because his old-fashioned coaching style didn't work well. It seems the team doesn't like these outdated tactics.
