The renowned NHL insider Elliotte Friedman has recently shared that a former top-10 NHL draft pick will try to make a comeback in the NHL after a rare medical condition forced him to step away from hockey.

Cody Hodgson was forced to retire early due to a rare muscle disorder that heightened his injury risk, is now considering a return to the NHL.

Drafted 10th overall by the Vancouver Canucks, Hodgson had a promising start to his career, accumulating 142 points in 328 games before his early retirement in 2016, 26 years old.

Friedman has now announced that Hodgson has intentions to make a comeback.
