The Canadiens defensive prospect, Lane Hutson, is quite a hockey player. Selected in the second round in part because of his small stature, which is not very favorable especially for a defenseman, Hutson is seen as a back with some rare talent. After his selection by the Habs, many people mentioned that the young man could develop late and that he would grow even more. This has now been confirmed, as Hutson gained an inch over the summer and is now 5'9.

This is great news for the young man and for the Canadiens. Some experts say that the young defenseman should have been released in the first half of the first round. Imagine the steal that Kent Hughes and his team will have made if he gained a few more inches and put his talent to use in the NHL!
