Jonathan Drouin officially left the Habs on July 3, en route to Colorado with a one-season contract in his pocket. Rumour has it that Nathan MacKinnon insisted that his general manager sign him. According to Cale Makar, these rumours are true. Nate is very excited about Jo's arrival, so much so that it seems to be his good news of the summer. I don't know him personally, but I know Nathan was super excited when he heard [Drouin] was signing with us. I think that says a lot. Drouin is a player with undeniable offensive talent, and I believe he can also do well defensively, so I'm definitely excited about his arrival. His connection with Nathan [MacKinnon] is special. They were so electrifying together in junior. We all hope they find their chemistry again - Cale Makar Of course, MacKinnon and Drouin made it big in the QMJHL 10 years ago, and they could well pick up where they left off. Or so they hope. It's pretty impressive that one of the best forwards in the world is so excited about playing with the Canadiens' former 27. We wish Jo every success in finding his feet again with his new team.

Nathan MacKinnon super excited to reunite with Jonathan Drouin in Coloradohttps://t.co/szSiaiw83T- RDS (@RDSca) August 14, 2023
 Credit: Go Nordiques
